tbh with my body

I hated you

in highschool. You didn’t look like

anyone else; you were awkward,

uncomfortable underneath your skin.

I really, really hated you

for what you did to me in social

situations, the way you looked to me

to somehow save you from yourself.

I realize

my soul is shallow to judge you by my eyes;

I need to give you the grace you give me,

carrying me, broken, through this broken life.
